the extent to which the group has been trained
to work collaboratively
and to mastery of the organization’s needs to create goals, plans and
strategies.
It may be true that "None of us is as smart as all of us" (Warren Bennis), but not if we are all not – so - smart together.
This means that no stakeholder group can operate effectively without training in Human Relationship skills and in Data Analysis skills.
Truly prepared High Involvement groups have mastered the human relation skills to work with each other, to recognize and honor differences and to use creative approaches for resolving disagreements for the greater good.
Data Analysis skills are also essential for the success of High Involvement Shared Planning groups. Groups need to know what data they need, how to obtain the data, and of course how to draw root cause conclusions from what the data say.
Mastering these skills gets stakeholders beyond the "I-think", often mistaken perceptions that corrupt groups' success, to objectively using facts in order to distill what is really going on.
Active Learning Consultants will help you
master the human relation and data analysis skills that will drive the group’s success.
